Adam Gerrald

Originally from Texas, Instructor Adam has over 16 years of consistent (and intensive) martial arts training in a range of styles. His Journey began in 2006 When he bgain training in Taekwondo (Chung Do Kwan). In 2008 he switched to the World Taekwondo Federation (WT) TKD and began Arnis (Filipino martial arts) It was at this time that Adam began to train with the Nunchaku. In 2010 he began cross-training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Capoeira in 2011. At the end of 2013, Mr. Gerrald enlisted in the Marine Corps and began training in Sayoc and Atienza Kali from 2014-2016 while at Camp Pendleton, CA. Upon being stationed in Virginia he began training at Trident Martial Arts Academy in BJJ, Inosanto Kali, and Muay Thai simultaneously. During this time he also obtained a black belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) through the the Marine Corps Martial Arts Center of Excellence (MACE). In 2018, he moved back to Texas where he has continued BJJ training while teaching Taekwondo and Kali. In 2020 Adam earned his 4th degree black belt in WT Taekwondo. With years of previous Nunchaku experience Adam began to learn World Nunchaku Association's (WNA) Nunchaku-do in 2021. In addition to instructing martial arts, in 2021 Mr. Gerrald earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (the study of mechanics and anatomy in relation to human movement) from The University of North Texas to enhance his knowledge and abilities as an instructor. Adam Spent 2023 Traveling America in an RV training at as many different martial arts schools as he could. in 2024 Adam moved to Utah and is currently training at multiple different schools to continue improving in the arts of: BJJ, TKD, Kali, MMA and Fencing
